Nancy Benitez, was born in Montreal, Canada. Before settling in Vermont with her family in 1981, she received an Associates Degree in Natural Science and her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Alaska. She has been practicing nursing for 26 years and has experience in neonatal ICU, Gynecological and General Surgery, Cardiology, Cardiac Rehabilitation, Nursing Management, and most currently in Pediatrics.
Nancy blended her career as a nurse with her passion for medical forensics. Following years of experience as a medical legal consultant to law firms throughout New England, she joined Axelrod & Adler in 1996, combining her nursing experience and expertise with legal knowledge. Working full time as the law firm’s nurse paralegal, Nancy is closely involved as an integral part of the legal team in analyzing medical data in a variety of cases, including personal injury, automobile accidents, premises liability, worker’s compensation, medical malpractice, and defense of criminal cases. She is a member of the Paralegal section of the Vermont Association for Justice.
